How to Change Time to Date Below Post Title in Blogger

how to change time in bloggerThe Blogger custom templates are designed by different designers from around the world. Many out of these templates are coded by professional designers and they are good from all prospective's  But indeed, there are also many poor coded templates are there. Unprofessional templates sometimes create troubles for newbies who want to easily customize their design with their own needs. So therefore, you must select a well-coded template for your blog. However, today I will let you know about changing your blog time which appears exactly after post titles in blogger. There should be date and author name instead of time alone. But in most blogger custom templates only time is published with author name. So we will change this respectively.

before going straight to the tutorial please have a look at below image when the time after post titles in Blogger appears:
blogger-tips1
This appears because the designer has set the time with author name in their custom template. So it isn't good for SEO, we will have to change it to date. our blog's template devil's workshop had also time with author name, so we promptly changed that.

How to replace time to date in Blogger?

Now the process is quite simple and you just need to replace a single word with another one, follow given steps in order to do so:
  1. Log-in to Blogger Dashboard
  2. Template >> HTML >> Proceed >> Check the Expand Widget Templates
  3. Now carefully search for this code
<data:post.timestamp/>
Just replace the above code with below one:
<data:post.dateHeader/>
Save your template and you've changed time into date for all of your posts. Now your look after post title will be like below image:
blogger-tricks

Conclusion

It was just a simple Blogger trick to replace time with date. It is important for search engines to find pages with specific dates. So if a person is searching for cars or bikes in 2012 and Google shows him this stuff from 2003 then it wouldn't be a good business. Therefore, Google has recently stated that pages should be sorted with accurate dates.

Top 5 Project Documents

The Top 5 Project Documents
If you use the documents as a starting point for keeping up with your projects, then you will be well on the way to being highly valued and appreciated within your company.
The Project Charter
The project charter can be considered the green light for the project to move forward. Project activity can begin once the project charter has been assembled and approved. The purpose of this document is to outline the reasons and objectives for undertaking the project, items that would be considered in-scope or out-of scope, target project benefits, and most importantly a high-level budget and who has the authority to expend these resources.
The project charter also serves as a stabilizing force once the project is underway. There are going to be opinions and ideas of what aspects of a project should be left in and which should be removed. These opinions and ideas creep in based upon managers and resources personal preferences. The project charter can serve as a reference point for the original intent of the project and to ensure the project does not succumb to scope creep.
The Project Schedule
The project schedule is the next must-have document to effectively run a project. The very definition of a project (a temporary endeavor with a defined beginning and end undertaken to meet unique goals and objectives) speaks to the importance of the project schedule. The project schedule takes the beginning and end of the project and breaks it down into project phases and then ultimately project tasks. Each task is assigned a duration, resource, and whether it is dependent upon a previous task or activity prior to its start. This document then serves as the baseline for whether the project is on track and meeting its target dates or if there needs to be some adjustments made to the schedule.
The Status Report
It's important to keep everyone informed as to how things are progressing on the project once everything gets underway. There's no better way to do this than putting together a status report. A status report should contain the answers to these four questions:
  • What has been accomplished on this project since the last status report?
  • What is next to be done on this project?
  • What stands in the way of this project being complete?
  • Are there any special needs this project has that must be discussed?
A status report does not need to be overwhelming to put together and it should always be easy to read. It's good to come up with some type of status code (for example...Green, Yellow, Red always works well) that can quickly provide an overall status of the project at one quick glance. If an executive sees everything is Green he won't give the project a second thought. If the status is slipping into Yellow or Red, then the executive knows they must get involved at this point.
The Risk Register
Your job as a project manager is to get the project done. However, there are powerful forces at work whose sole purpose is to prevent you from getting your project done. These forces are known as Risks. These risks could range from a critical resource getting sick on your project to a key vendor going out of business.
You need to call these risks out on a regular basis and prevent them from turning into full-blown issues that can wreak havoc on your project. There's no better place to do this than the Risk Register. This document identifies potential risks and categorizes them by probability of occurring and the severity of their impact to the project if they do occur. Plus, there needs to be a mitigation strategy coupled with each risk as to what is being done to prevent this risk from occurring.
The Communications Plan
The final document every project must have is a communication plan. There are so many things going on with a project that is going full-steam ahead it's hard to remember who needs to know what and when they need to know it. A well-thought out communication plan will minimize any miscommunication that could occur and keep everyone on the same page.

Why Office 365?

This week we’re focusing on all things Office 365, from Lync through to documents and making the most of cloud services. We introduce methods of deployment for Office 365 via our top tweet. And on the note of top tweet, if you want your tweet to feature in our newsletters as a top tweet or top Facebook follow us and share your top tips and information with us on Twitter or Facebook.

The feature article this week brings together two recent case studies with real life examples of how to save money by using Office 365. The case studies are US examples but the content and how you can save money is still applicable. We’ve also shared with you a UK specific case study from the British Education Systemas I know how much local examples are appreciated and it’s always good to share successful British implementations.

So that you can get started and try Office 365 for yourself we’ve posted the link in the header for you to give it a try for free. We’ve also posted the links to our virtual labs and to the Microsoft Virtual Academy so that you can get up to speed and start using Office 365 straight away.

When we were at TechEd Europe we filmed fun but informative video showing how the Microsoft Data Centres are set up for hosting Office 365. It’s in Lego format as we weren’t allowed to film inside the data centre but it’s certainly interesting to watch.

Also don’t miss out on the upcoming events and take advantage of the book of the fortnight discount. Last but not least, if you are looking to meet other like minded Office 365 users and implementers then why not join the Office 365 User Group!

Keep in touch and we look forward to bringing you more interesting information in two weeks’ time!
