CES 2011: Slick Tablets, Flashy Phones, and Smart Rabbits

The Best of PCWorld
With the new year behind us, we tech fans emerge from our cocoons to find ourselves in...Las Vegas, of all places. Yes, it's time for the 2012 Consumer Electronics Show, that annual product-fest in Sin City. Something like 20,000 products will have been introduced by the time the show closes on Friday, and PCWorld's editors are traversing miles of show floor to bring you the best of what's on display. You can get a quick summary of the major products and themes--slick tablets, smart TVs, ultralight laptops--by viewing Ed Albro's slide show "The Big Hits of CES 2012, So Far." For a more oddball take on the show, though, I'd recommend Jeff Bertolucci's "Wacky and Wild Products at CES." A bottle opener phone case? Check. An Internet connected "smart rabbit." Got it. A mobile phone that will hold a charge for 15 years? Yep. Yet somehow Jeff neglected to mention the 10,000-watt, 900-pound iNuke iPod dock--about as practical a device as we've ever seen here in Vegas.
