The Reality of Dreams (The Interpretation of Dreams)
No, this belief isn't right. As there are 3 types of dreams:
1- Rahmaani (those that come from Allah) & these are true dreams
2- Nafsaani (psychological, they come from within a person) and
3- Shaytaani (those that come from the Shaytaan/satin).

True dreams are a part of Prophet hood, as it was reported that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “True dreams are one of the forty-six parts of Prophet hood.” (al-Bukhaari, 6472; Muslim, 4201)
====================================================================
It was narrated that Abu Qutaadah said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Good dreams come from Allah and bad dreams come from the Shaytaan. If anyone sees a bad dream that scares him, let him spit to his left and seek refuge with Allah from its evil, then it will not harm him.”
(Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 3292)

Actually there is misunderstanding in your quotation, it has been said that Shaytaan cannot appear in the image of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), but he could appear in another form and claim that he is the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). But if a person see Prophet (peace be upon Him) in dream (according to his exact description) then it couldn't be shaytaan but Prophet (peace be upon him). Hope it is clear, Insha'Allah.
