Join us to protect honey bees

As a PAN supporter, you’ve heard a lot about the plight of the honey bee. Beekeepers continue to lose more than 30% of their hives each year. These losses are unsustainable economically, and as a backyard beekeeper myself, the thought of so many bees dying makes my heart ache.
Pledge your support» But I also glean great hope from this tiny messenger with a big voice. The honey bee is galvanizing people into action. And with your support, we’ll work with this growing movement until we get results.
PAN recently hand-delivered over one million signatures to decision-makers, pushing for decisive action to protect honey bees on a timeline that matters. EPA wants to wait until 2018 to act, and will only do otherwise under the heat of public pressure.
Your support for this work is important, and the need is urgent. As one PAN friend and commercial beekeeper sums it up, “Another winter of ‘more studies needed’ so Bayer can keep their blockbuster products on the market and EPA can avoid a difficult decision, is unacceptable.”
Just a few weeks ago, PAN announced a victory in an important fight. Arysta, the world’s largest private pesticide corporation, gave up the fight and withdrew its cancer-causing pesticide methyl iodide from the U.S. market. With your gift to PAN, you become part of victories like these.
