Firefox – Don’t Load Tabs Until Selected
I consider myself a pretty advanced Firefox user. I use it every day, after all, so it’s only natural that my proficiency has steadily increased. That being said, it’s no surprise that when I open my browser multiple tabs open along with it.Here’s a tip on how to do that.
The only issue I’ve come across is that by opening multiple tabs at the same time things get a little…slow, let’s just say. Sometimes they freeze, in fact.
Thankfully, a fix is as simple as a couple of clicks.
So, open Firefox and click Tools>Options (or, if you have the orange Firefox button, click that, then Tools>Options).
Under the General tab, make sure the box next to Don’t load tabs until selected is checked and hit OK.
Now when you open Firefox, it’ll open all of your tabs, but won’t load the pages contained within those tabs until you click on them!
Saves resources and a headache to boot!

View E-mail Source in Thunderbird

First, click on the e-mail in question, so it shows up in your preview window (usually located on the bottom).
Now, highlight all the test in the message…
…and go to View>Message Source in the top toolbar. (you can also hit Ctrl+U, if you like keystrokes better)
Poof! Up comes a text file with all the numbers! Now you can geek out ’till your heart’s desire!

Hello Ed, and thanks for the great question. You will be glad to know that it is easy to clear all the websites in your search bar and it only takes a few minutes. You can clear the websites from your search bar in the Google Toolbar, Firefox, or Internet Explorer by performing the following steps:
Clear Google Toolbar Search History:
Open the web browser, and then click the drop-down arrow from the Google Toolbar search box, and then click Clear History.
If you do not want your Google Toolbar to save any search history, click the wrench icon, click the Search tab, and then uncheck Store search history on my computer. Click Save to save the changes. From this point on, no websites will be saved in the search history.
Clear Internet Explorer Search History:
Open Internet Explorer. Press the Ctrl+Shift+Delete buttons simultaneously on your keyboard
Check the History and Form data check boxes, and then click the Delete button.
Clear Firefox Search History:
Click the Firefox Tools menu. Alternatively, you can press Alt-T on your keyboard to open the Tools menu.
Select History and then select Clear Recent History.
Click the drop-down next to Time range to clear and select how much of your history you want to clear.
Click the drop-down arrow next to Details.
Check the Browsing & Download History and Form & Search History checkboxes.
Click the Clear Now button.

If you’ve used Excel in the past with any regularity, you may find yourself experiencing some difficulty with formulas – whether creating them in Calc or trying to open an Excel file in Calc.
While I can’t guarantee that I’ve got the answer to your problems, I can definitely make a pretty good suggestion as to what to check.
The two programs differ in the way they string together the arguments of a formula… let’s take a look.
Here’s the way Excel demonstrates how you should put together things in the average formula:

You’re right Noble, there are about a gazillion ways to check weather on a computer. However, some are better (and easier) than others and Forecastfox Weather is one of them. This free and customizable extension for Firefox and Chrome places current weather and weather forecasts–from AccuWeather.com–in a convenient location in your browser. Of course, unlike desktop weather gadgets, your browser has to be open to use this feature.
To begin setup, click here, select your browser, and follow the installation instructions.
When installation is complete, options are presented. First, select a location, and it will immediately become the default and will be added to the Previous Locations list. Clicking any from that list will change that to the default. If you’d like to rotate between multiple locations, check the switch locations box and set a time to automatically switch between locations. Below Locations, select a unit of measure.

Taste Stopping
You all know I love a good food site, so when I ran across Taste Stopping - I knew at a glance that I would be sharing it with you.
Normally I talk about how gorgeous the food photos are, or how the pictures make my mouth water with the desire to devour whatever tasty treats they are displaying. This site is a little different; they highlight images from around the web of what are tasty recipes, but whose pictures leave something to be desired.
Back on the main page, navigation is easy. Just scroll down the page, and click on whatever strikes your fancy. Here you’ll find the currently featured articles, as well as blog entries from the site owner. Near the top of the page is a black navigation strip that offers links to the About, Bells and Whistles, and Submission Guidelines/FAQ sections. As you scroll down past the current featured articles make sure you note the navigation options beneath them, where you can select the page you want to view and navigate past features with the back and forth with the first, last, arrows, and page numbers.
To find out more about how the site works, and where you can navigate click on Bells and Whistles on the black navigation strip. As you’re reading this section note that all the sections that are being explained are linked to in the paragraphs. So you can just click the link when you find the section you really want to visit.
I’d also recommend checking out the About section, because it is there that you’ll find the information about submitting your food images. This ties into the Submission Guidelines/FAQ section too!

Wired Safety
I wanted to bring you another site about online safety. I chose this one to go with the previous one because it covers more than cyber bullying.
Here you can learn all about the various cyber crimes that exist and the laws surrounding them. Most importantly this site has a great section on identity theft. Identity theft can truly happen to anyone, I mean it even happened to me a few years ago, so you need to make yourself educated on how to stay safe! Not only will they teach you to be safer, if you have had you identity stolen they will give you information on how to report and what to do.
Navigation here is simple; just click topics on the side menu to get more information. If you have a teen gamer I highly recommend you check out the Online Gaming Safety. You’ll learn ways to help your child stay safe, and even about an organization of teens that are helping teach other teens to be safe online.
Another good section was the one about Cyberstalking and Harassment. I think that this is important for anyone who uses the internet to read. You need to know what qualifies as harassment and when that goes over the line into cyberstalking. Did you know it is a crime? Well it is! Learn what counts as cyberstalking and what you should do about it.
