The Smart TV Challenge
The exact combination of big-screen TV features that appeals to most consumers apparently still hasn't been addressed by existing manufacturers and new companies, according to a Washington Post report. Toward that goal, a myriad of smart TV makers presented their latest offerings at the 2012 Consumer Electronics Show with models that run apps and Android, plug into the Internet and subscription movie services, and more. The latest devices now accommodate voice and motion controls, but also function with sophisticated remotes, trackpads, and keyboards. Notably apps are all the rage per a wired.com article, but standardization may fall by the wayside.
